Jeuveau

  • Jeuveau is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used in adults for a short period of time (temporary) to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines).

*It is not known if Jeuveau is safe and effective for use in children.

  • Jeuveau is a neurotoxin, which works by a molecule that’s called prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs. It inhibits the release of a certain chemical that helps prevent movement in certain muscles.

  • Neurotoxin is metabolized differently for everyone and not all people have the same facial muscle strength. Some may repeat muscle contractions from frowning or squinting more than others. The average duration of toxin injections last about 5-6 months.

In clinical trials, Jeuveau was shown to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines. 68% - 70% of Jeuveau patients had a 2-grade or better in severity of lines and wrinkles, visible results reported as early as 2 days after treatment. At 5 months after treatment, 38% of patients had visible results with Jeuveau maintained.
